What is TCAWG?
The Texas Clean Air Working Group (TCAWG) was developed as a project by the Texas Conference of Urban Counties and is made up of diverse participants united in the goal to clean the air in Texas' nonattainment areas and improve the air quality in the near nonattainment areas. The group brings together Federal, state, and local government officials, environmental groups, and business leaders on a voluntary basis to discuss and promote efforts to clean the air in Texas.
What does TCAWG do?
TCAWG helps to coordinate SIP development; improve communication and provide support for TCEQ, EPA, and for nonattainment areas and near nonattainment areas in their efforts toward attaining Clean Air Act compliance. TCAWG also works to build legislative support for a unified clean air agenda that will allow Clean Air Act compliance for Texas.
Who leads the group?
Honorable Glen Whitley, County Judge, Tarrant County, and Mr. Kelly Frels, Managing Partner, Bracewell & Giuliani, Houston Office
